and with the return of the river ice the ducks are moving. lots of cans, geese, swans and some great looking hooded mergansers.
about 100 mute swans are in the south channel near the chematogan. another 100 in the gas hole in big muscamoot bay. i also saw a few groups of hooded mergansers and some geese.
as soon as the ice moved out of the channel it filled up with ducks. redheads, canvasbacks, some geese and swans. the ducks number in the tens of thousands.
